A world-famous game where players bet on which of the two hands – the player’s (Punto) or the banker’s (Banco) – will be closest in value to nine or if the hands will be tied (Egalite). The game is played with six decks of cards. Aces count as one and royals and tens as zero with all other cards carrying face value. Hands with more than ten points have the ten subtracted to establish the value of the hand – so Jack+7=17, but counts as 7.
A two-card total of nine is the best hand and is called a ‘Natural’.
